New campgrounds on Lake Michigan shoreline to open this summer

The new campground opens June Reservations can be made beginning Thursday, Feb. All campers must be self-contained because there are no restrooms or showers. All sites include water, sewer and electrical. Most visitors will be able to see the sun set over the lake from their campsites. One of the sites is barrier-free. The tent-only campground has 10 sites on the Lake Michigan shoreline. The sites are designed for campers to walk a short distance to sites. There is a common water source and vault toilet in a central location.

This beautiful 7 acre mountain location is just outside of a large tourism hub in the Smoky Mountains. Almost all sites and rentals are located directly on two gorgeous mountain streams. Car Camping 101

This park was very clean with plenty of bathrooms and shower facilities for all the campers. Electric and Water hook-ups with a Big Dump Station at the entrance. There is also a boat launch, a full service store, and plenty of activities to keep the family busy. Sites aren’t that level, but weren’t bad. Pads are dirt and the ground is somewhat sandy, so a mat is needed to keep the sand from finding its way into the camper. This is another Destination Park.

Northland Outfitters Upper Peninsula Campgrounds Your Upper Peninsula Campground Northland Outfitters Campground is located on fourteen pristine acres with over 1, feet of river frontage on the Manistique River.

Both parks and private campgrounds provide camping experiences and a host of recreational activities. Enjoy a traditional Midwest camping experience at the national park’s Dunewood Campground. Campsites include 53 drive-in and 25 walk-in sites available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Facilities at this seasonal campground are limited to restrooms and showers. The big plus is that Lake Michigan is just a mile hike north of the campground. There are seven beach and swimming areas along the lakeshore for sunbathing and water play, but only swimmers at West Beach are protected by lifeguards. After filling up on s’mores and beach fun, enjoy hiking, biking, boating, fishing or birdwatching. The park is easily accessed by car, but a South Shore Railroad Station servicing Chicago, Illinois, and South Bend, Indiana, is located within walking distance of the campground.

The park covers 2, acres and includes 3 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline for romantic strolls, building sand castles and swimming in the world’s largest freshwater lake. Its campground sits less than a mile from the gorgeous coastline. Set up a home away from home at one of the park’s campsites. Each offers amp electric service and modern restrooms.

Tent camping is also an option. All tent camping will be primitive, but there are acres to ensure your camping expectations can be fullfilled. We ask that you please do not bring your own firewood, as moving firewood can bring harmful insects and disease to our property. You may purchase firewood from an onsite vendor, or purchase it from other stores in the vicinity.

Holiday Park Campground Reservations: Situated on the south end of Silver Lake in Traverse City, Michigan, our campground has a gorgeous sandy beach equipped with a boat launch.
